MPD3 Introduction

MPD3 is free online and downloadable database which provides you phytochemicals, activities , structural and test target information about medicinal plants with reference to original research papers, PubMed Central Id and PubChem structures. This web resource enables user to search plants with different activities, plants possessing specific activity against specific test target (i.e virus, fungi, bacteria etc...) and downloadable phytochemical structural library of 2295 phytochemicals for docking.

Currently MPD3 provides 632 Genus Records with 1022 plant based information (271 targets, 91 activities and 7062 records for phytochemicals), download and search options for both web-based and downloadable database

Genus View

This view provides a list of different plant genus stored in our MPD3 for phytochemicals, activity and target based information. This list can be use for online database search or downloadable database search to give you quick and easy results.List of all available activity keywords is provided in Genus web-page

Plant View

This view provides a list of 1022 different plant names (scientific) stored in our MPD3 for phytochemicals, activity and target based information. This list an be use for online database search or downloadable database search to give you a quick and easy results.List of all available activity keywords is provided in Plant web-page

Activity View

MPD3 database provides user with more than 91 activities possessed by medicinal plants. Each activity is linked with plant information with its name (Scientific Name), test target on which it found to be effective and literature as a reference( PubMed Id, Title, Abstract, Authors and PubMed Central id if available). List of all available activity keywords is provieded in Activity web-page.

Phytochemicals

There are a number of phytochemicals present in plants belong to different categories i.e Flavonoids, Steriods, Tannins, Saponins, Alkaloids, Aromatic etc. This database also provides reference to primary source of information including (Paper title, abstract, Pubmed Id, Authors and PubMed Cental id if available). Phytochemicals can be query via plant name and genus name ( scientific).MPD3 stores 7062 records for phytochemicals collected from different published papers
